January Newsletter

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. " -- Helen Keller

January starts off with a blast as Mars the planet of action, war and enthusiasm enters it’s own sign of Aries and joins with Jupiter the planet of bigger, better and more. Jupiter had also enteredit’s own sign of Sagittarius  in November and when a planet enters it’s own sign it makes it effects even stronger. This is creating an atmosphere of unfettered hope and a desire for sweeping change, all while increasing a desire to manifest greater love and compassion.

All of this energy for benevolent change NOW however, is tempered by Saturn the planet of rules, boundaries and regulations which has also entered it’s own sign of Capricorn. The lesson here is that this is the time to be disciplined in your actions, if you want to achieve your goals and to remember to look thoroughly at all aspects of what you wish to create. Saturn is here to tell us that, right now, all of the information needed to make successful change is not yet available to us.

That information will gradually come more fully to light, bit by bit, as it is activated by this year’s 5 eclipses. On a global level, the eclipses are portending a change from the current focus of government and economy, to that of belief systems and law and religion. They are supporting a transformative change in how people believe in and  relate to, religion. This change will effect leadership around the world which will effect how heads of state rule the world and deal with both government and religion. Hopefully  we will begin to see a return to ruling morally and for the good of the whole.

January will host 2 of the years eclipses - the first one was on the 5th and the next one - a total lunar eclipse and arguably the most powerful one of the year - will take place on the 20th of the month at 9:15 am pst. It is a north node (rahu) eclipse which sends out the information that something must be released in order  to make the most of the energy of change activated by it. It is also a super moon which intensifies it’s effect. It  is strongly affected by Uranus the planet of unexpected change and revolution which will bring surprises and change but also opportunity.  Life may seem even more speeded up.

It will conjunct Pluto the planet of death and transformation in 2020. This will be a historic alignment with repercussions of transformation going back to the year of Jesus’ crucifixion. This aspect is considered the sign of change/revolution on a political historical level.
